SAR

SAR stands for Specific Absorption Rate, which is a measure of the amount of radiofrequency (RF) energy absorbed by the body when using a mobile phone or other wireless devices. SAR is expressed in units of watts per kilogram (W/kg) and is used to determine the maximum allowable exposure limit for the general public to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields.

The SAR value is determined by measuring the amount of RF energy absorbed by a unit of mass (usually 1 gram) of body tissue exposed to the RF fields. The higher the SAR value, the more RF energy is absorbed by the body. The SAR value for a mobile phone is typically listed in the phone's user manual or on the manufacturer's website.

It is important to note that SAR values are based on maximum power levels and worst-case scenarios, and that actual exposure levels are likely to be lower than the listed SAR value. However, it is still recommended to use mobile phones in a manner that minimizes exposure to RF energy, such as by using hands-free devices or speakerphone mode, and keeping the phone away from the body when possible.
